Bylaws Changes

Posted By Todd A. Schlechte, Wednesday, November 25, 2015
At the October Annual Meeting of the Intellectual Freedom Round Table, it was unanimously decided to change the name of the group to "Intellectual Freedom," with the acronym IF. This does necessitate a change in our bylaws (changing each instance of the name and the acronym), to be voted on by those present at the spring meeting using secret ballot (in accordance with the bylaws). The bylaws are located at https://nebraskalibraries.site-ym.com/members/group_content_view.asp?group=148650&id=551095. Shortly, additional content will appear which contains the proposed changes. Feel free to comment on this blog post as a way to begin electronic discussion of this proposal.

As long as the words "Information Freedom" are capitalized in each instance, as they are currently, taking the words Round Table away in each instance should leave the wording viable.
