Ben Softness works in Google’s User Support Department, where he’s in charge of writing and publishing educational material about Google Web Search. Ben works closely with Googlers worldwide to assist in the development of user-friendly innovations, and he communicates directly with users to maintain a continual understanding of the issues affecting Google’s global consumers.

Ben graduated from Amherst College with a BA in philosophy. He was also a member of the rowing team. After Amherst, Ben made for the west coast and has lived in San Francisco since August 2006. He's been working at Google since April of '07.
