Tuesday - October 10th 

One Author Kearney presents National best-selling Author William Kent Krueger - FREE


Kearney Public Library Foundation proudly presents an evening with author William Kent Krueger. Krueger is the author of the Cork O’Connor a mystery series set in the north woods of Minnesota. His work has received a number of awards, including the Minnesota Book Award, the Loft-McKnight Fiction Award, the Anthony Award, the Barry Award, the Dilys Award, and the Friends of American Writers Prize.


Join us for an evening of readings and conversation at 7 pm at the World Theater.  A book signing will follow the presentations.  Free ticketed program (tickets available at Kearney Public Library on September 5th).

Wednesday - October 11th 

Wednesday Night Wine Trolley and Tour - $20

Join us Wednesday, October 11 from 5:00-5:30 for hors d'oeuvres and conversation at the Younes Conference Center before traveling by Trolley to tour a variety of Kearney attractions such as the new Kearney High School and UNK's Calvin T. Ryan Library.

Trapped in a Room of Librarians! An Escape Room Adventure - $20


Don't think you've spent enough time with your colleagues all day at conference? Then come out to Sleuth Escape Rooms (204 E. 25th St. Suite 5) and be locked in a room with up to to 9 other attendees while you try to work together to escape in 90 minutes or less This event will take place on Thursday, October 12, at 6:00pm [Additional time slot due to demand] & 7:45pm [SOLD OUT!]. 3 different rooms are available, each featuring a unique experience (see for room descriptions):
  • Da Vinci's Secret (7 persons)
  • Uncle George's Bomb Bunker (7 persons)
  • Knucklehead Garage (10 persons)
