A Strategic Success: Creighton University Libraries' Transformation from Legacy to Next Gen by Becky Wymer and Heather Buckwalter, Creighton University
In January 2014, Creighton University libraries embarked on a journey to replace 5 legacy library systems and 2 contracted service with a Next-Gen Unified Resource Manager. After a vigorous RFP process, Creighton ultimately selected Ex Libris' Alma/Primo products. In this session we expect to address various aspects of the project, including highlights of product selection, project scoping and staffing demands, migration preparation, data management, the migration experience, implementation, administration and user training, and post-migration clean-up issues. We will also address strategic successes, unintended consequences, and future phases in development.

Registration fees include light refreshments. Attendees are responsible for providing/purchasing their own lunch. A list of nearby options for lunch will be provided in the welcome packet. Additionally, there will be space at the venue to enjoy a packed meal.
