Pre-Confererence Area Library Events

One Author, One Kearney - Kearney Public Library

           Tues Oct 10 @ 7 pm  - World Theatre (2318 Central Avenue).

Kearney Public Library Foundation proudly presents an evening with author William Kent Krueger. 


Krueger is the author of the Cork O’Connor a mystery series set in the north woods of Minnesota. His protagonist is Cork O’Connor, the former sheriff of Tamarack County and a man of mixed heritage – part Irish and part Ojibwe.  His last seven novels were New York Times bestsellers.  Sulfur Springs, number fifteen in his Cork O’Connor series, will be released in August 2017.  Ordinary Grace, his stand-alone novel published in 2013, received the Edgar Award, given by the Mystery Writers of America in recognition for the best novel published in that year.

  • Free tickets will be available September 5th at KPL or by calling 308-233-3282.
  • Limit of two tickets per person.  Tickets are required for entrance.
  • Join us for an evening of readings and conversation.  A book signing will follow the presentations.

On your way to conference?   Hastings Public Library is completing a $5.4 million renovation to its downtown main branch and has invited the conference to swing by and check out the facilities (including a brand new maker space!) the day before Conference.  

  • Tours are available between 9:30 and 11:30 for those coming to a preconference or from 2-4 for those who might be coming later.
