Sections: Special and Institutional Section

What is S&I?

The Special and Institutional Section has been established to reflect the diverse interests of librarians who work  in specialized or in institutional libraries. Our members are employed in a wide variety of libraries throughout Nebraska, including law, corporate, governmental, prison, church, music, and medical libraries. However, membership in the Special and Institutional  Section is open to any member of the Nebraska Library Association regardless of the type of library.

Our Objectives

  • To provide programming and continuing education opportunities for special library staff;
  • To promote communication, cooperation, and collaboration among special libraries;
  • To advocate for issues and needs of special libraries within the Nebraska Library Association; and
  • To recognize and reward achievements of special library staff.
